Your Privacy Choices

Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information

We work with advertising partners who use cookies and similar technologies to show you advertising for Avila Beach on other websites. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act this counts as “selling” or “sharing” your personal information, even though no money changes hands for it. You have the right to tell us to stop, and we will not charge you a different price or give you a worse experience for asking.

Open my privacy settings

That opens the same panel as the “Preferences” button on our cookie notice. Switching off Marketing stops us sharing your information with advertising partners. Your choice is stored in your browser, so if you use another browser or device, or clear your cookies, you will need to set it again there.

We honour Global Privacy Control

If your browser or a browser extension sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a valid request to opt out and act on it automatically — you do not need to do anything else on this page. We will tell you on screen when we have honoured it. Firefox, Brave and the DuckDuckGo browser can all send this signal.

Submit a request in writing

If you would rather send us a request, or you want a record of it, use the form below. We do not ask you to create an account, and we will not ask you to verify your identity for an opt-out request — the law does not permit us to. We only ask for enough information to act on your request and to reply to you.

Requests to know, correct or delete your information

You can also ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. We will confirm we have received your request within 10 business days and respond within 45 days. If we need longer we will tell you why, and we may take up to another 45 days. Unlike an opt-out, these requests do require us to verify who you are, so we may need to ask you for more information — we will only use it to check your identity.

Use the form above, or email us and say which right you are exercising.

Authorised agents

You can ask someone else to make a request for you. We will need written permission signed by you, and we may still contact you directly to confirm that you gave that permission and to verify your identity.

We will not discriminate against you

Exercising any of these rights will not lead us to deny you goods or services, charge you a different price, give you a different level of quality, or suggest that you will receive any of those things. Everything on this website remains available to you exactly as before.

What we do with your request

We keep a record of requests so that we can show we have acted on them, and so that we can honour your choice if you contact us again. Several of the advertising partners named in our Cookie Policy hold their own copies of the information they collected; where we can, we pass your request on to them, and where we cannot, we will tell you who to contact.
