Where to Stay in Avila Beach

Generous space inside this natural wood handcrafted cabin features an open plan main room, including a kingsized bed, dining, and kitchenette. A 50″ television with Amazon Fire Stick (paid subscriptions to Hulu, Amazon Prime & Netflix) will provide any entertainment you require. Plenty of WiFi will keep you as connected as you need to be. One bathroom with bath/shower and one bedroom with single bunk beds.

An expansive front porch overlooks a courtyard and garden surrounded by mature trees for complete privacy. The back porch provides fresh air with chaise lounge chairs for napping and relaxing.

A propane gas stove will keep you warm when it’s cold outside. All windows have screens to let the fresh air in and circulating during the summer months.

See Canyon is the orchard of San Luis Obispo County. Known for apple orchards and fruit farms, the canyon offers lush rural vegetation while close to coastal towns and San Luis Obispo. Three miles from Avila Beach, locals call the canyon the sunshine pocket of the coast.

Nestled on 16 beautiful acres in the heart of beautiful Avila Valley it is surrounded by rolling green gardens, lush vineyards and mature California Oak Trees. This single-story modern ranch style retreat has been completely remodeled with floor to ceiling glass windows to create a calm stylish ambiance that invites you to come in, sit down and begin enjoying this wonderful stylish yet homey retreat.

The main house is 5,000 square feet with two master suites with private bathrooms and 2 additional bedrooms. The Master suite has a rounded glass window with a soaking tub with internal views that offer lush hay meadows and beautiful vistas with oak trees in all directions. There is private terrace off each suite with sliding glass doors so you can enjoy your morning coffee on the flagstone patio overlooking the beautifully landscaped grounds with plenty of room to take in that clean crisp air.

There is a game room with a classic Brunswick regulation pool table, foosball table, darts, bar area and large craftsman hearth fireplace to warm the room. It opens up to an outdoor living area with BBQ, fire table and outdoor fireplace.

The open concept gourmet kitchen has a beautiful 14 feet waterfall island, that is custom made for culinary teaching experiences. The island can seat seven people, and the kitchen farm table seats another eight comfortably. The formal dining room invites the outdoors in with its surrounding glass windows and seats additional eight guests.

The guest house is 1,200 square feet with 2 bedrooms, living room, full kitchen and washer/dryer. A master suite with walk-in closet and attached bathroom. A kid’s loft that contains 2 bunk beds.

The 16 acres offers 3-sided barn, 5 car garage, pastures, paddocks, horse trails and room for your RV, boat and horse trailer. You can keep the kids entertained with the onsite walking trails and easy access to the Bob Jones Trail nearby.

This Avila Beach home was built in 1907, renovated in 2012 and 2020 and is located 1.5 blocks from the beach. The home is fully furnished with 2 bedrooms (queen beds), a loft (2 twin beds) and 1 bathroom. Accommodates up to 6 guests. NO EXCEPTIONS. Cable TV, Wifi, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, laundry room, patio area with BBQ (propane provided), air conditioning and 2 parking spaces.

This unique home sits on a large lot and has plenty of space to BBQ and hang out. It has a great deal of character and makes guests feel right at home. Everyone loves the uniqueness of the space, and the close access to the beach, which has the best sand, waves and weather. The town itself has lots of wine tasting, delicious food, and sunshine. Guests are close to Port San Luis, which has additional restaurants and cool beaches. The town of San Luis Obispo is less than a ten minute drive.

Other things to note:
There is a steep driveway, which should be considered when booking as well as stairs to access the house itself and then stairs to access the loft. The loft has windows with alarms for child safety and should be considered when deciding where children play and sleep. There is only small areas of carpeting and the rest is hardwood flooring. The laundry room is available to guests and we leave some supplies to use. We provide paper towels, dishwasher pods, and all-purpose cleaner. There is a reverse osmosis system in the kitchen, so no need for bottled water. Allergy sufferers: Be aware we do take our pets to our home when we use it several times a year, but we use our own bedding and towels and clean everything thoroughly.
