Join Leslie Terry, Supervising Environmental Health Specialist with the County of San Luis Obispo, to learn about SurfSafeSLO, an ocean monitoring program.  Learn about where samples are collected, how samples are tested, and where test results can be found. The SurfSafeSLO.org website will be toured and the three types of public notifications will be discussed: Health Advisory, Rain Advisory and Beach Closure.  In addition, a study of the water quality in the Avila lagoon will be presented.
