My favorite place is the large covered deck overlooking the ocean. You can hear the sounds, smell the mist and enjoy the views of this one of a kind California Cove called Avila Beach. If you have been here before, you will not believe the transformation. Super clean and comfortable for up to 6 people.

We are only a few blocks from all of the Avila downtown action, yet we are still out of the crowds and commotion. Great for relaxing when you want to chill at the house, but still only a short walk to the beach, coffee shops, restaurants, bars and ice cream shops.

We offer two off-street parking spots which is critical on most every weekend. From the downstairs master bedroom there is a courtyard under the ocean side deck, ideal for relaxing and taking in a good read.

There is a playground on the sand as well as directly off the beach. These are within easy walking distance.

We have 2 rentals available and each has a different beach related theme. Each rental is the same size (1200 sq. feet) and has a queen size bed in both bedrooms. The bedrooms are all downstairs. In the living room upstairs, there is a sofa sleeper in addition to a fireplace. Bedding for all beds, including the sofa sleeper, is provided. Each unit has a full bathroom downstairs and a half bathroom (sink and toilet) upstairs. The television in the living room has a DVD player so bring your favorite movies to watch. There is also a television set located downstairs in one of the bedrooms. Free wireless Internet is provided. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishware, glasses, pots and pans, coffee maker, toaster oven, blender and everything else we could think of to put in the kitchen. A gas grill and a patio table and chairs are located on the deck.

The entire downtown area of Avila Beach has recently been rebuilt. It includes the new children’s park, a small grocery store and deli as well as new restaurants and stores. It is no longer a rundown little town. It is beautiful, upscale and you will love it. The weather is warm year round and it is consistently much warmer and less foggy than Pismo Beach. Avila is only 25 minutes from Paso Robles- home to over 300 wineries. If you enjoy wine tasting, you can also head south to Santa Ynez and arrive in 40 minutes.

Visit Friday’s Fishermen and Farmer’s Market (4 to 8 pm) with lots of great food to eat, fresh produce, happy tavern, wine tasting, entertainment, and dancing in the Plaza at the pier. Another great Market is Thursday night in San Luis Obispo (6 to 9 pm). Best beach on the Central Coast, no humidity, few bugs, cool mornings with fog sometimes to mid-morning and clearing to warm afternoons with crystal clear skies.

You will be able to have total use of the apartment, patio, deck, and a space in the carport. There is room outside for a second vehicle. You also have a private entrance with private stairway, 12 steps, so no contact with others on the property.

This Avila Beach home was built in 1907, renovated in 2012 and 2020 and is located 1.5 blocks from the beach. The home is fully furnished with 2 bedrooms (queen beds), a loft (2 twin beds) and 1 bathroom. Accommodates up to 6 guests. NO EXCEPTIONS. Cable TV, Wifi, fully equipped kitchen with dishwasher, laundry room, patio area with BBQ (propane provided), air conditioning and 2 parking spaces.

This unique home sits on a large lot and has plenty of space to BBQ and hang out. It has a great deal of character and makes guests feel right at home. Everyone loves the uniqueness of the space, and the close access to the beach, which has the best sand, waves and weather. The town itself has lots of wine tasting, delicious food, and sunshine. Guests are close to Port San Luis, which has additional restaurants and cool beaches. The town of San Luis Obispo is less than a ten minute drive.

Other things to note:
There is a steep driveway, which should be considered when booking as well as stairs to access the house itself and then stairs to access the loft. The loft has windows with alarms for child safety and should be considered when deciding where children play and sleep. There is only small areas of carpeting and the rest is hardwood flooring. The laundry room is available to guests and we leave some supplies to use. We provide paper towels, dishwasher pods, and all-purpose cleaner. There is a reverse osmosis system in the kitchen, so no need for bottled water. Allergy sufferers: Be aware we do take our pets to our home when we use it several times a year, but we use our own bedding and towels and clean everything thoroughly.

This has been a local favorite studio (“The Tree House”) in the oaks for our family and friends for many years. Walk four blocks to the beach and partake in the Friday Night Farmer’s Market (4 to 8 pm, April to October) for plenty of food, happy taverns, wine tasting, entertainment, and dancing at the beach. Close by great restaurants, happy taverns, and wine tasting, best beach on the coast, active marine life (sea otters, harbor seals, and sea lions) up close and personal, with several scenic hiking/walking trails at all levels of difficulty nearby. The host will have suggestions with hand-drawn maps for great things to do and visit from Monterey to Santa Barbara that only locals know about if interested. There are 34 stairs to climb. The creek is across a street which on weekends can be busy with traffic.
